The pineapple pendant is hand carved from a single tagua nut; a seed from a type
of palm that grows in the South American rainforest.
Just Trade work with skilled artisans in Sosote, Cerro Grande and Quito, Ecuador who individually specialise in various stages of the traditional processes used. The finished pieces are the result of a collaboration of expert application of hand carving, engraving and dyeing.
Comes with a silver plated chain - approx. 90cm.
Packaging: Packed on a Just Trade tent card in a biodegradable cello bag.
Care Instructions:
Tagua may darken slightly over time, this is normal. It can be buffed up with a soft white cotton cloth. Although hardwearing, if dropped on a hard surface tagua could break.
Never immerse tagua in water as this can cause it to crack.
